03 — Documentation
How the platform is put together
This is the technical side of the client-facing docs: data in, figures out, and how a report is edited. It is not an engineering runbook — no infrastructure, no formulas.
What you want to build
- Editing a report — commentary, placeholders, review, why a chart is empty
- Your data — how holdings and returns arrive, timing, reconciliation
- The report library — every chart and table that can appear
- How the numbers work — conventions, not algebra
- Methodologies — independent valuation, attribution, inflation-linked benchmarks
- API reference — embeds and structured data, not a full endpoint list
What we keep
Templates, layout, branding, data connection, calculation, new components. A mistake here would propagate across every report at once.
What you keep
Commentary, images, shared text, which reports go out, approval. If it is a sentence, an image or a decision, it is yours.
