Who this is for
Reporting is rarely one person’s job. Different people touch it for different reasons, and most of them need only a small part of what follows. Find yourself below and start there.
- Reporting & operations _(Runs the cycle)_ — You own the calendar. You check the pack is ready, chase the commentary, review what came out and send it on. You are in the reports more than anyone. Start with How we work together and Editing a report.
- Investment team _(Owns the numbers)_ — Portfolio managers, analysts, CIOs. You write the commentary, decide what the report should show, and need to know exactly what a figure means before it goes to a client. Start with The report library and Methodologies.
- Client-facing team _(Uses the output)_ — Advisers, relationship managers, business development. You take the finished report into a meeting, or send it. Mostly you need to trust it and know when it is ready. Start with How we work together.
- Marketing & brand _(Owns how it looks)_ — You care that every report looks like it came from the same firm. Templates, palettes, typography and disclaimers are all governed centrally rather than per report. Start with Editing a report.
- Data & technology _(Connects the systems)_ — You get the data to us and, sometimes, the numbers back out again — onto a website, into another system, or beside your own reporting. Start with Your data and Sharing & embedding.
If you are new and unsure which of these you are, read How we work together first. It is the shortest path to understanding who does what.
